I offer neurodivergence-affirming somatic sessions for adults, parents, caregivers, and sensitive humans who are tired of living in constant stress—and want support that actually fits their real life.
In-person sessions available in Calgary at Wild Heart Wellbeing beginning May 2026
Your body feels like it's always bracing for the next thing—even when life looks "fine" on the outside.
You are autistic, ADHD, highly sensitive—or parenting a neurodivergent child—and your nervous system feels constantly overloaded.
You've tried talk therapy, mindset work, or "just breathe" strategies, and they didn't reach what your body is holding.
You are exhausted from caregiving, masking, or managing everyone's needs—and there's rarely space for you to actually land.
You want support that honours your wiring, respects your lived experience, and doesn't ask you to become someone you're not.
If something in your body is recognizing itself in this… you're in the right place.
Somatic work with me is slow, collaborative, and grounded in respecting your nervous system.
We start by paying attention to how your body is organizing around stress, safety, and connection—and from there, we explore small, doable shifts that can create a little more room, breath, and choice in your everyday life.
In our work together, this might look like:
Learning how your nervous system works in ways that actually make sense, in clear, non-shaming language
Gently tracking sensations and patterns together—at a pace that feels safe enough for your system
Practicing small, body-based resets that can actually fit into your day (parenting, work, rest… real life)
Making space for your neurodivergent traits and sensory needs—instead of trying to fix or override them
If you're curious what this could look like for you, you can start with a free, low-pressure discovery call
For adults, parents, caregivers, and sensitive humans who are tired of living in overwhelm, shutdown, or that constant "on edge" feeling — and want a gentler way to work with it.
A lot of the people I work with are neurodivergent or supporting neurodivergent kids — but you don't have to be to feel at home in this work.
60–75 minute sessions (online or in person, depending on your needs)
A calm, non-judgmental space where you don't have to mask, perform, or manage anyone else
Nervous system education woven with practical, body-based somatic practices
Gentle support between sessions, with simple things you can actually try in your real life
While completing my final immersion training, I'm offering reduced-rate sessions to make this work more accessible.

This work is not about fixing you. It's about supporting your nervous system in finding a little more capacity, choice, and connection over time.
Weekly nervous-system support for parents, caregivers, aides, and families
Beyond Surviving is a weekly space for parents, caregivers, aides, and families who are holding a lot—and don't have many places where they get to be supported too. Each week, we gather for gentle nervous system education, simple somatic practices, and real-life tools—in a space where you don't have to hold it all together.
You don't have to share if you don't want to. There's no right way to show up. You can come overwhelmed, exhausted, hopeful, unsure—whatever is real for you that day.
We're currently growing our membership, and we'll only continue if we have enough participants for the group to feel supported and sustainable. If this feels like the kind of space you've been needing, now is a meaningful time to join.

Somatic Wellness Practitioner & Qigong Teacher
Founder of Berkana Somatic Wellness
I'm a Somatic Wellness Practitioner, Qigong teacher, educator, and founder of Berkana Somatic Wellness here in Okotoks, Alberta. My work weaves together somatic movement, nervous system science, trauma-informed care, and neurodivergence-affirming practice to support real people in real-life circumstances.
As a neurodivergent person and a mother of neurodivergent children, I live this work—not just professionally, but in my day-to-day life. I understand both the science and the daily reality of family life that doesn't fit into neat categories. I know the exhaustion of constant advocating, the pressure of wondering if you're doing enough, and the search for support that actually works in real homes, classrooms, workplaces and relationships.
I'm especially drawn to working with
Clients often describe my presence as steady, non-judgmental, and gently honest. I'm not here to fix you — I'm here to support your system in finding its own way toward more capacity, connection, and self-trust.
Learn More About Me"Lauren's approach is thoughtful, insightful, and tailored to our needs. The training she provided helped our team better understand human behavior and respond with compassion and calm approaches. Her guidance has made a real difference in how we connect with the people we serve."
-Jennifer — The Point, Okotoks
"Lauren was absolutely AMAZING! She came into our space and led a two-hour training that covered somatics, nervous system support, class structure, and the ins and outs of teaching neurodivergent students. Learning the science behind how the mind and nervous system work — and how to thoughtfully structure a class — has given us tools we can use immediately. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Every studio should have the chance to learn from her!"
-Sarah — Owner & Creative Director, Artist Avenue
"Lauren has been a game-changer for me. Her somatic approach helped me move beyond talk therapy and really learn how to regulate my nervous system. Working with her has given me tools I use every day to feel grounded, supported, and understood."
